Gabe’s over 11 years of experience working for U.S. Senator Carl Levin brings strong relationships, connections and a strong knowledge of the issues facing business in Northern Michigan. Over the course of his professional career, Gabe has worked on issues as diverse as economic development, land and historic preservation, infrastructure development and maintenance, and agricultural and manufacturing job growth and retention strategies. Gabe is recognized as a leader, listener, collaborator and decision maker in the region, state and nationally. Megan is President and Principal of Parallel Solutions, LLC, a Traverse-City based consulting firm that supports public, private, and non-profit sector clients by providing strategic and business planning, facilitation, project management, fundraising planning, and community and partner engagement services. Her professional background and passions include community and economic growth, conservation, food and farming systems, housing, transportation, and access to nature. Before launching Parallel Solutions, Megan served as Associate Director of the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy and prior to that, Regional Planning Director for Networks Northwest. |
Bryan Newland, Affiliated Consultant
Bryan is a citizen of the Bay Mills Indian Community (Ojibwe) in northern Michigan and an attorney at Fletcher Law, PLLC. In this capacity, he provides legal, policy, and strategic counsel to Indian tribes on a wide range of issues, from economic development, gaming, land use, and governmental authority. He also serves as the chief judge of the Bay Mills Indian community.
